Jennifer Hemphill MSc BSc (Hons) MCSP
I am a Chartered Physiotherapist and fully registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and PVG scheme. I graduated from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy. I began my professional career that year at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, gaining a wide range of experience and skills in a variety of departments
I have focused my career on orthopaedics and musculoskeletal outpatients. In 2006 I completed an MSc in Medicine and Science in Sport and Exercise, awarded jointly by Glasgow, Strathclyde and Caledonian Universities. I have worked privately at Ross Hall Hospital and the National Stadium Sports Health and Injury Clinic at Hampden. I treated adults, children, professional footballers, and elite athletes gaining experience of treating a wide variety of sports injuries and musculoskeletal problems. I have also worked as a physiotherapist at the Scottish Dance School and for a local rugby team.
I continue to work part time within the NHS and specialise in the rehabilitation of all types of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions. This includes sports injuries, neck/back pain, joint pain or injury, hand therapy, joint replacements, fractures and soft tissue injuries. I am also very experienced in the rehabilitation of patients following hip fractures, falls and other mobility problems.
